Trying to figure out the implications of contracts and legal documents can be intimidating. It is not practical for you to entirely understand what you are agreeing to before you sign. Without a prepaid legal service plan, it could cost you several hundreds of dollars just to have an experienced attorney review your documents, contacts or agreements.
Review of independent legal documents is a valuable benefit included in our legal plans.
On the surface, a legal document can appear straightforward. However, the fine print could expose you to risk. The consequences for agreeing to terms that you do not fully understand could be costly. Having an experienced lawyer review the documents could save you more than just money.
Yes. A licensed lawyer will review your documents. Our lawyers have an average of 19.4 years of experience in the legal field. Learn more.
You can have any legal document reviewed. For example:
There is a six (6) page maximum per document with the Personal Legal Plan. In the Business Legal Plan, there is a ten (10) page maximum per document. Both benefits are included in the Comprehensive Legal Plan.
Further review of documents that exceed the legal plan limit can be determined by the lawyer. In some cases, any additional review of documents could fall under the reduced hourly rate benefit.
In certain situations, attorney liability may require plan attorneys to ask for a retainer from the member prior to providing some of the Free Legal Services.
There is no limit to the number of new independent documents with the Personal Legal Plan. In the Business Legal Plan, you get as many as five (5) independent documents each quarter. Both benefits are included in the Comprehensive Legal Plan.
