Lawyers in our network must maintain $3,000 of aggregate professional liability insurance if required in their state, or the state mandated minimums proved with a certificate.
Our legal plan lawyers are also required to maintain $100,000 per incident liability insurance.
Legal services must be provided to prepaid plan members at rates specified in the fee schedule section of our member guidebook. This means you always know what you’ll be paying upfront and there are no unpleasant surprises.
The lawyers must maintain an office for the practice of law and be regularly engaged in practicing law within their state in order to become part of our network.

State Bar of Michigan

The Michigan Legislature established the State Bar of Michigan in 1935.
The mission of the State Bar is to aid in promoting improvements in the administration of justice and advancements in jurisprudence, improving relations between the legal profession and the public, and promoting the interests of the legal profession in this state.
The State Bar operates under the supervision of the Michigan Supreme Court and is governed by the Michigan Supreme Court Rules concerning the State Bar of Michigan.
By law, members in the State Bar of Michigan include all persons who are licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan.
